Hypercycle Trackday Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can beginner riders come out to ride?
A. Absolutely! We offer free one on one instruction in all skill groups and very often 15% or more of our new clients are street riders whom have never been on the track. In addition the L.A.S.D. Motorsports race team helps out with the Street group to provide even more on track instruction, bike talk and off track help.
Q. What do I need I need to do to the motorcycle prior to coming out?
A. A completely stock motorcycle is acceptable for track use at our events, safety wire is not required nor is a coolant substitute required. Good condition tires and no leaking fluid is a must. We DO require taping of all glass pieces including head light, turn signals and brake lights. We also require the removal of the bulbs or fuses in the headlight and taillight. Mirrors should also be removed.
Q. What kind of leathers do I need?
A. Full one piece or two piece full circumference zip-able.
Q. What kind of helmet do I need?
A. Full face DOT or SNELL approved helmet (must also have face shield).
Q. What kind of gloves do I need?
A. Full leather gauntlet style gloves that cover the wrists.
Q. What kind of boots do I need?
A. Ankle high leather boots must come to at least the lower calf.
Q. Do I need a back Protector?
A. A back protector is not required but it is recommended.
Q. What things should I bring to the track?
A. Hypercycle provides bottled water but does not provide food. It is also recommended to bringing a friend along with you to the track just in case of emergency and to assist each other with bike preparation And loading/unloading. Basic tools are a good idea, and should be considered.
Q. Can I bring a canopy?
A. Yes, in fact they are very common, although it is recommended to bring heavy weights to attach to the canopy to prevent it from flying away in high winds.
